Explore conference locations across the world
Filter recorded host cities by conference and year to inspect country heat, geographic clusters, moves, and multi-city editions.
Includes historical editions and announced future editions; a future location is not treated as already held.
Sources, coordinates, and coverage
How the basemap, point coordinates, coverage, and source licenses are defined.
Conference locationsRead from A-Venue public API edition fields with the edition website URL retained. The API does not yet expose a location-field retrieval time; a rating release's importedAt refers only to rating-data import.World basemapMapLibre GL loads the local OSM country and region PMTiles archive together with OpenStreetMap water tiles from OpenFreeMap on demand; attribution links are listed in this provenance section instead of occupying the map canvas. The custom minimal style only shows softly coloured land and sea, country or region boundaries, and inland waterways; coordinate grids, labels, roads, buildings, railways, and POIs remain hidden. Land colour, borders, and heatmap share one OSM-derived polygon set: the Nominatim country grid is clipped to OSM coastline land polygons, with Hong Kong and Macao retained as separate OSM administrative regions. Fill and outline therefore use identical geometry at every zoom. PMTiles supplies crisp vector detail through zoom 10, while OpenFreeMap only supplements lakes and rivers. Antarctica is omitted, and local boundaries and heatmap remain available if online waterways fail.Marker coordinatesMarkers read persisted coordinates and precision directly from the database. Current approximate city and region points come from GeoNames with record, licence, and retrieval metadata retained. The browser no longer matches city names, and these are not official venue coordinates.Current coverageThe API returned 0 editions with location fields: 0 drawable points, 0 virtual editions, and 0 unresolved locations. A multi-city edition can create multiple points. © OpenStreetMap contributors·OpenFreeMap·© OpenMapTiles
